A modern day miracle occurs each year as part of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade celebration when the Chicago River turns an incredible shade of shamrock green. The parade is the centerpiece of the city’s unforgettable St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.
The parade always occurs on a Saturday. If Saint Patrick’s Day does not fall on a Saturday, the parade is held the Saturday before.
